The PFL has announced the full line-up for PFL 7, PFL 8, and PFL 9 for its 2019 season, which will see all six of the promotion’s weight-classes competing in the “post-season.”
The Professional Fighters League is headed to Las Vegas for its post-season this year, and on Wednesday, the promotion officially announced the playoff match-ups. Three shows — PFL 7, PFL 8, and PFL 9 for the PFL 2019 season — will see fighters attempt to punch their ticket to the finals on New Year’s Eve in New York.
In a press release Wednesday, the PFL confirmed all three cards would take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. Airing on ESPN+ and ESPN 2, the events will take place on October 11, 17 and 31.
“We’re proud to bring our electrifying Playoff format to the fight capital of the world and look forward to putting on three game-changing events in October,” said Ray Sefo, President of Fighter Operations, PFL in Wednesday’s release. “Over the course of the 2019 PFL regular season, 44 fighters separated themselves from the competition and are a step closer to the title and million-dollar prize that awaits the champion from each of our six divisions. They now must rise to the occasion and fight with the intensity needed to survive and advance. It’s win or go home, it’s October madness.”
The full line-ups for PFL 7, PFL 8, and PFL 9 for the PFL 2019 season are below. PFL 7 2019 will have a pair of special feature match-ups announced at a later date. The card has the extra space to allow for that, as the women’s lightweight division only featured eight fighters for the 2019 season.
All eyes will be on that card regardless, as fans wait to see if the hotly anticipated Kaufman vs. Harrison final comes to pass.
All weight classes outside of women’s featherweight will be fighting twice in a night during the post-season.
