Two big bouts are official for this month’s KSW 50, which sees the promotion return to London, England with Phil De Fries vs. Luis Henrique atop the card.
Poland’s KSW returns to London, England later his month for a historic show in KSW 50. On Wednesday, the promotion confirmed a pair of title fights for the card, including a heavyweight headliner featuring a short-notice replacement. That main event will see KSW heavyweight champion Phil De Fries take on Luis Henrique, who steps up to fill in for Damian Grabowski.
Also official for the card, light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun, who failed in a bid for a second title against De Fries earlier this year, will defend his 205lb title against Przemyslaw Mysiala, a Polish challenger who fights out of London.
De Fries (17-6 (1)), a former UFC and Bellator heavyweight, has won five straight bouts and defended his KSW title twice since winning gold in April 2018. De Fries holds notable wins over Brett Rogers, Oli Thompson, James Thompson, and Karol Bedorf, among others. In Henrique (12-5), he’ll face a former UFC heavyweight who has shared the cage with the likes of Arjan Bhullar and Francis Ngannou. Henrique will enter the fight on a two-fight win streak.
Narkun (16-3) had won seven straight bouts prior to his defeat at the hands of De Fries. He has not lost at light heavyweight since at 2014 bout against Goran Reljic, a loss he later avenged when he defeated Reljic for the title at KSW 32 a year later.
Przemysław Mysiala (23-9-1), meanwhile, will enter the fight on an eight-bout unbeaten streak including seven wins and a draw.
KSW 50 takes place September 14, 2019 at the The SSE Arena, Wembley in London, England.
