Max Holloway and Cris Cyborg were among the fighters to watch at Friday morning’s UFC 240 official weigh-in.
Edmonton, AB — Friday morning brought with it the official weigh-in for UFC 240. All fighters would hit the scales ahead of the PPV event, with a ceremonial weigh-in planned for later in the day. Well, all but Tanner Boser, whose fight with Giacomo Lemos was scratched after Lemos was pulled from the card.
That left eleven fights going forward for Saturday’s show. All eyes would be on featherweight champ Max Holloway, who was returning to 145lbs after an excursion to lightweight earlier in the year. Cris Cyborg would be another fighter to watch at weigh-ins, with her always tough cut to 145lbs.
Main event title challenger Frankie Edgar was among the first to hit the scales Friday morning, coming in at 145 even. But not before Alexander Volkanovski, who came in under the limit as a backup. It didn’t matter. Albeit with a towel, Max Holloway made championship weight.
Check back starting at 11AM ET for full updates from Friday morning’s official weigh-in!
