PFL 5 2019 is official, but not without its share of weigh-in drama, as three fighters missed the mark Wednesday in Atlantic City, including one who didn’t attempt to weigh in.

The Professional Fighters League was in Atlantic City, NJ once again this week, for the fifth show of the PFL 2019 season. This time out at PFL 5 2019, it was the second fight for the lightweight and featherweight fighters, who would look to secure a spot in the league’s post season.

The official weigh-in took place on Wednesday, and once again, it was far from a smooth ride, despite a million dollars being on the line. UFC veteran Ramsey Nijem was expected to face lightweight champion Natan Schulte. However, after coming in heavy, he’ll have to wait and see if the three points he collected earlier this year are enough for a playoff berth.

Schulte, meanwhile, now faces Jesse Ronson, whose original opponent also came in heavy. Carlos ‘Carlao’ Silva, who Ronson was scheduled to meet, was defeated earlier in the season, and is now at the bottom of the standings, out of the playoffs.

Gadzhi Rabadanov and Daniel Pineda were expected to meet at featherweight. However, Rabadanov did not weigh in, leaving Pineda without an opponent.
