The UFC was in San Antonio this week for UFC on ESPN 4, with a trio of heavyweight fights, and a welterweight showdown between Rafael Dos Anjos and Leon Edwards in the main event.
If you’re a gambling man or woman, bet on this: the heavyweights at UFC San Antonio will make weight at Friday’s official weigh-in. However, at least one or two, not needing to cut much weight, will take advantage and sleep in a little. And can you blame them?
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Ray Borg, who has had all kinds of fight week mishaps over the years, and the main event players Rafael Dos Anjos, former UFC lightweight champion, and Leon Edwards, surging prospect.
One fighter would miss early in the weigh-in window, with former Invicta FC champ Jennifer Maia coming in at 129lbs for her rematch with Roxanne Modafferi. Both Edwards and Dos Anjos, meanwhile, hit the scales at 171lbs.
