UFC Greenville’s heavyweight pairing between Allen Crowder and Jairzinho Rozenstruik took just nine seconds, start to finish.
‘Pretty Boy’ Allen Crowder took on Suriname’s very own Jairzinho Rozenstruik on the preliminary portion of UFC Greenville on Saturday. Rozenstruik, a 7-0 prospect entering the cage was a moderate favorite coming into the fight with the American, after definitively beating Junior Albini in his previous fight.
For Crowder, who was 10-3, it represented a good chance to take a scalp who had eyes on him. With the heavyweight scene up in the air, prospects few and far between; the fight was highly anticipated. Crowder came off a disqualification win against Greg Hardy. How would he fair against a more seasoned heavyweight, albeit a prospect, in a division in desperate need of fresh blood?
The fight commenced and leading up to it, ‘Pretty Boy’ seemed full of confidence. Rozenstruik remained silent and focused on the job in the hand, a decision which would pay off.
