Just prior to weigh-ins on Friday, John Lineker was forced to pull out of his fight with Rob Font at UFC Greenville.

John Lineker, who was looking for a fight recently, is out of his planned fight with Rob Font at UFC Greenville. MMA Junkie was first to report the news Friday. While a reason for the withdrawal was not included in that early report, it appears Lineker suffered a cut that has forced him from the card. Weigh-ins for the event (UFC Fight Night 154) went down this morning.

The bantamweight battle between Lineker and Font had been slotted in as the co-main event Saturday. The UFC has yet to release an official statement on the matter.

UFC Greenville is headlined by a promising featherweight scrap between Renato Moicano and The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung. The event takes place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena and airs on ESPN+ in the U.S.

Lineker last fought at UFC Fort Lauderdale, losing a split decision to Cory Sandhagen. That fight was actually rescheduled from January, when Lineker was forced to withdraw then as well.

The former flyweight has a history of withdrawals and weight troubles, but remains one of the toughest outs in the 135lb weight class, thanks to his heavy-hitting ways, which have earned him the nickname ‘Hands of Stone.’

Font (16-4) has been out of action since December, when he defeated Sergio Pettis.
