In the main event, a savvy veteran takes on a young prospect as Sean Santella faces Andre Barquero for the vacant flyweight title.
Santella, 34, has a record of 21-7-1, 1 NC and is a veteran of BRAVE CF, CFFC, PA Cage Fight, Ring of Combat and more. Santella, who trains out of the Miller Brothers and Nick Catone’s MMA & Fitness, is a former CFFC flyweight champion and bantamweight title-challenger. However, Santella never lost the title inside the cage as when he signed a deal with BRAVE CF, he relinquished the flyweight title. Under a year from his debut with BRAVE CF, BRAVE have allowed him to fight elsewhere and outside of the promotion. In his last ten fights, Santella has gone 8-2, most recently defeating former UFC fighter Naoki Inoue by decision at CFFC 72. Santella has finished 67% of his victories, all by submission.
Barquero, 23, has gone 6-1 in his MMA career so far with six-straight wins since his debut back in 2015. He holds wins over Pancrase veteran Tatsuya Watanabe and Titan FC competitor Wascar Cruz. In his CFFC debut, Barquero edged Tommy Espinosa to win by majority decision at CFFC 72.
The rest of the main card includes former CES champion Jeremiah Wells in a welterweight bout against Mumia Abu Dey Ali. Also, flyweight prospect Erin Blanchfield returns against Gabriella Guflin.
