Top British promotion Cage Warriors returns to Colchester for Cage Warriors 105: Barnett vs. Carter. The full results are below.
The promotion behind several UK MMA fighters within the UFC, Cage Warriors, returns to the Colchester Charter Hall in Colchester, Essex, for Cage Warriors 105: Barnett vs. Carter.
In the main event, Tim Barnett faces Sean Carter in a lightweight contest. Barnett is making his return to lightweight after going 0-1-1 at welterweight, losing to top prospect Alex Lohore in the process. Barnett’s most recent showing was a 160-pound catchweight contest against Adam Ventre, which Barnett won via second-round KO and earned his first win in the promotion. Barnett is a former BAMMA champion and holds a win over Rhys McKee. Meanwhile, Sean Carter is returning to the cage for the first time in over 18 months. He last fought at Cage Warriors 86, when he lost a split decision to Joe McColgan back in September of 2017. Carter is a submission specialist, who holds 75-percent of his wins by way of tapout.
In the co-main event, Alexander Jacobsen faces Donovan Desmae in a fan-friendly lightweight contest. Alexander Jacobsen is a former Cage Warriors lightweight title-challenger, who has suffered a rough patch in his career. Despite only winning one of his last four contests, Jacobsen is still as dangerous as ever as the Norwegian competitor holds eight of his nine wins via stoppage. He’s fought the best the promotion has had to offer too, including Chris Fishgold (who faces Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Stockholm), Soren Bak, Tim Wilde, and Tom Green. Meanwhile, Donovan Desmae is never in a boring contest. The Belgian is coming off a three-round decision loss to undefeated Welsh prospect Mason Jones last month. Desmae is 2-3 in Cage Warriors, which includes a win over former title-challenger Aidan Lee, and a fight of the night contest against Hubert Geven.
Also on the card, undefeated prospect Cory McKenna returns to action on the main card.
