Brazilian flyweights Alexandre Pantoja and Deiveson Figueiredo will meet at Edmonton’s UFC 240 in July.
The UFC’s flyweight division continues to lumber forward. First reported by Combate, Alexandre Pantoja will take on Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 240 in July. The pairing joins the Canadian card alongside Alexis Davis vs. Viviane Araujo, and headliner Max Holloway defending his featherweight title against Frankie Edgar.
UFC 240 takes place July 27 at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, and marks the second Canadian card of 2019.
Pantoja (21-3) is coming off a first round TKO of Wilson Reis at UFC 236. The victory improved his current win streak to three, and overall UFC record to 5-2. Pantoja also holds wins over Ulka Sasaki and Brandon Moreno on his current streak. Both of those fighters have since been released from the promotion.
Deiveson Figueiredo (15–1) will clash with Pantoja fresh off the first loss of his career. That came at UFC Nashville, and added the first blemish to Figueiredo’s previously perfect record. Prior to that setback, he had four straight wins to start his UFC career.
UFC 240 currently looks as follows:

Women’s Flyweight bout: Gillian Robertson vs. Sarah Frota
Women’s Flyweight bout: Lauren Murphy vs. Mara Romero Borella
