KSW 48, headlined by Salahdine Parnasse and Roman Szymański for the interim featherweight title will also feature a shot at redemption for Jurkowski, taking on Bekavac in a fight 15-years in the making and more.

Saturday (April 27, 2019), KSW goes live from the Globus Hall in Lublin, Poland for the promotions 48th event. KSW 48 will be their second event of 2019.

Headlined by Salahdine Parnasse (12-0-1), representing France vs. Roman Szymański (11-4), fighting out of Poland, the two would meet with the interim featherweight championship on the line. While undefeated, Parnasse would fight to a draw against LiGe Teng in 2016. The two would rematch, where Parnasse would earn the unanimous decision. Szymański is 3-2 in his last 5.

In the co-main event, Stjepan Bekavac (19-9) takes on Lukasz Jurkowski (16-11) in a light heavyweight rematch. In 2005, Jurkowski lost to Bekavac at KSW 3. Now almost 15 years later, the two will finally meet again, as Jurkowksi looks for redemption, while Bekavac looks to improve to 2-0 against the Poland native.

Accompanying the main and co-main event are these highlighted debuts of five athletes recently signed to KSW:

Filip Pejić (13-2-3) – 85% finish ratio (vs. Filip Wolański)

Shamil Musaev (12-0) – Undefeated with 8 stoppages (vs. Hubert Szymajda)

Hubert Szymajda (8-2) – Submission specialist, 4 rear-naked choke victories (vs. Shamil Musaev)

Bogdan Barbu (15-9) – #1 ranked Romanian bantamweight (vs. Sebastian Przybysz)

Cezary Kęsik (8-0) – Knockout artist with 6 KO’s (vs. Jakub Kamieniarz)

Of the 16 fighters, only Hubert Szymajda would miss weight, weighing 158lbs (71.1kg). He will be fined 30% of his purse.
