Ed Herman vs. Patrick Cummins and Grant Dawson vs. Mike Trizano have been added to the UFC Rochester (UFC Fight Night 151) card.
The UFC will make its debut in Rochester, New York this May, and the card is starting to take shape. On Sunday, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle revealed a number of fights for the UFC Rochester card, including recently victorious Grant Dawson taking on TUF 27 winner Mike Trizano, and light heavyweight action between Ed Herman and Patrick Cummins. They join a previously reported bout between Sijara Eubanks and Aspen Ladd. Also noted by the Democrat and Chonicle on Sunday, Zak Cummings vs. Trevin Giles. That bout was previously reported by FloCombat’s Nolan King.
Ed Herman (23–14 (1)), 38 years young, is currently on a three-fight skid, but coming off a close split decision loss to Gian Villante at UFC Moncton. That loss could easily have gone the other way, and left ‘Short Fuse’ fuming after the decision. He’ll now face Patrick Cummins (10-6), himself on a two-fight skid. ‘Durkin’ also took part in the UFC Moncton card, falling to Misha Cirkunov by submission.
Featherweight action will see Grant Dawson (13-1) go right back into the fire against Mike Trizano (8-0). Trizano maintained his perfect record against ‘Violent Bob Ross’ Luis Pena at UFC Denver last November. Dawson, meanwhile, made his debut at UFC Wichita last week, earning a unanimous decision against Julian Erosa.
Finally, longtime welterweight Zak Cummings (22–6) returned to middleweight at UFC on FOX 31, the final event on the FOX network this past December. There, he took home a unanimous decision victory opposite Trevor Smith. Cummings will look to make it two straight when he takes on the undefeated Trevin Giles (11-0).
UFC Rochester, alternately UFC Fight Night 151 or UFC on ESPN+ 9, takes place Saturday, May 18 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY.
Update, 4/19/2019 — Due to a change in UFC broadcast plans, UFC Rochester is now UFC Fight Night 152/UFC on ESPN+ 10
