Schilling (3-5) is a standout kickboxer who has jumped head first into MMA this time around. Although he flirted with mixed martial arts at times throughout his career, he told Cageside Press back in November that he was all in for his latest crossover attempt.
Schilling would go on to earn a TKO over Will Morris at Bellator 210, after Morris’ corner called it a night after the first round. Now, the kickboxing ace will go up against Berry (15-14-1, 1NC), a Bellator, Strikeforce, and KOTC veteran who last fought at Golden Boy MMA’s Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 event.
Berry has not won a fight in MMA since 2013. He has shared the cage with Doug ‘The Rhino’ Marshall, Gian Villante, and Jeremy Kimbell, among others.
Bellator 219 takes place March 29 at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA.
