Johnny Walker is apparently deathly allergic to leaving the first round, as it was another quick night for the Brazilian star at UFC 235. This time, it was a flying knee against Misha Cirkunov that sealed the deal.
Johnny Walker has stepped up on short notice to battle Misha Cirkunov at UFC 235 after Ovince Saint Preux pulled out of the contest. The talented Brazilian has spent just two minutes and 13 seconds in the Octagon in his career, knocking out Justin Ledet and Khalil Rountree in that time. The Ledet knockout occurred just one month ago. 13 of Walker’s 16 victories have come by knockout.
Misha Cirkunov was set to be the top prospect at light heavyweight after his win over Nikita Krylov. However, a quick knockout loss to Volkan Oezdemir followed by another loss against Glover Teixeira. Cirkunov got back into the win column with a submission win against Patrick Cummins at UFC Moncton in October.
Incredibly, even though Walker expected a longer fight against Misha Cirkunov, it was over in seconds. Walker launched a flying knee early, and it connected. Cirkunov went down. Walker followed up, and it was over in a flash. Wow.
