The Violence Queen is coming to the UFC, as Ariane Lipski will join the promotion and take on Maryna Moroz at UFC Buenos Aires.

KSW’s ‘Violence Queen’ — that would be women’s flyweight champion Ariane Lipski — has chosen to abdicate her throne. According to a report by Combate and later confirmed by MMA Junkie, Lipski (11-3), who has won nine straight fights, has turned down an offer to re-sign with the Polish MMA powerhouse. Instead, she’ll jump to the UFC, and meet Maryna Moroz at UFC Buenos Aires (UFC Fight Night 140) in November.

It’s another big pickup for the UFC’s flyweight division. Lipski fought five times for KSW, with her first bout for the promotion coming at KSW 33 in 2015. She captured the title in 2017, and defended the belt twice. Even more impressively, Lipski has proven to be a finisher, with seven of her past nine wins (four in KSW alone) coming via stoppage.

Brazil’s Lipski was a budding star for her previous home, and with a few wins, she could do big things in the UFC as well.

Against Moroz in Argentina, she’ll be facing a six-fight UFC veteran whose back is against the wall. Moroz (8-3) has lost two straight, to Carla Esparza and Angela Hill. While both are former Invicta champs, and Esparza a former UFC champion as well, Moroz is still in desperate need of a win heading into the UFC Fight Night 140 card.

UFC Buenos Aires, the promotion’s debut in Argentina, takes place November 17 at the Parque Roca Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Neil Magny vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio headlines the event.
