ONE Championship brought a packed card to the Philippines on Friday, as Reign of Kings featured Martin Nguyen looking to become a triple champ, and a couple of grappling aces.

Asia’s ONE Championship returned to action on Friday at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, the Philippines. With ONE Championship: Reign of Kings, the promotion was once again granting Martin Nguyen a shot at a third title. The ONE featherweight and lightweight title holder had lost his first chance to be a triple-champ, losing to Bibiano Fernandes earlier this year. He bounced back with a win over Christian Lee in May, which saw him defending the featherweight title. Now, it was interim bantamweight gold on the line.

‘The Situ-Asian’ was taking on Kevin Belingon in the main event of Reign of Kings. Belingon would have the crowd firmly in his corner, being from Manila himself. Yet arguably Nguyen had the edge.

The rest of the card? Renzo Gracie was back in action! Shinya Aoki was in the co-main event. Former lightweight champ Eduard Folyang returned to action, and grappling ace Garry Tonon was looking for another MMA win.
