CamSoda Legends might have been an odd concept, but free MMA is never a bad thing.

What could perhaps be considered one of the most bizarre MMA cards to date unfolded at Club Sway in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Thursday night. CamSoda Legends saw Camgirl website Camsoda putting on its first MMA show, promising all the streaming prowess of a cam site combined with the blood and violence of the cage. Which, at the very least, meant you’d be likely to get a stream without hiccups. Because who knows streaming video better than a camgirl site? Porn and MMA, together like… well, something.

Or as Cageside’s Josh Evanoff put it, it was the best thing since Slice vs. Dada 5000.

All jokes aside, there were at least a couple of names familiar to MMA fans on the card, including former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez taking on another UFC vet in Alex Nicholson. Just below that pairing (which served as the evening’s main event) was Charles Bennett, a.k.a. Krazy Horse.

In short, it was a grab bag of freakshow fights and a few legit contests. And incredibly, the night even saw a D’Arce choke, pulled off by Carl Darbouze, who looked in fine form against Oscar Delgado. Darbouze improved to 3-2 with the win, and earned a bonus thanks to the generous tippers at CamSoda (yes, users could tip just like they would on CamSoda’s usual fare — fighters with the most tips earned bonuses). They even had Darbouze read out the name of his biggest tipper: ILoveBigTitties. Seriously. Only on the internet.

Tips also generated sound effects on the webcast, with “finish him!” a popular option.

Matt Wagy was able to take featherweight foe Anthony Retic down early in their bout, second from the main event. Retic was active off the bottom with upkicks, but Wagy, a Team Alpha Male product, was able to sink in the rear-naked choke for the first round finish.

Krazy Horse, a.k.a. Charles Bennett, now going by Felony, and Bruce Lutchmedial had an entertaining first round. Bennett mocked his opponent, feigning wobbly legs while Lutchmedial got his jab working. Lutchmedial finished the round with a takedown, and while Bennett had a guillotine in, he couldn’t finish it.

In a back and forth second, Bennett actually followed the fans’ wishes, throwing a spinning back fist after a user tipped and sent just that over the PA. Later in the round, he scored a takedown and managed to get some control time in on Lutchmedial. Yet Lutchmedial made it back up, and later clipped Bennett, who went to his back to survive. Lutchmedial wound up with Bennett in a D’Arce, but the veteran survived.

In the third, Bennett survived another D’Arce, spent more time on top, took the back late, but finished on his back, with Lutchmedial getting the win. Butch Lutchmedial had harsh words for Felony after the fight, who he accused of trash talk involving Lutchmedial’s recently deceased brother.

Despite the win for Lutchmedia, it was Charles Bennett getting a $1000 bonus from fans post-fight.

In the main event, Ricco Rodriguez tapped out early after a cut opened up on the back of his head. The end result was a win for Alex Nicholson, but it was an anti-climactic end to the night. A disappointing finish on a camgirl site? Maybe that was the biggest surprise.
