Geje Eustaquio has lined himself up a title unification bout with ONE flyweight champ Adriano Moraes.
ONE Championship returned to action Friday in Manila, the Philippines. At ONE Championship: Global Superheroes, Geje Eustaquio captured interim flyweight gold against former champion Kairat Akhmetov. The main event went the distance, with Eustaquio earning a five round unanimous decision victory.
Eustaquio (10-6) avenged his previous loss against Akhmetov, which came in his last bout prior to Global Superheros. The Filipino fighter has spent the bulk of his career under the ONE banner, first appearing in the promotion back when it was ONE FC, at ONE FC 2: Battle of Heroes. Now, he’ll be looking to unify the titles, and avenge a previous loss to Moraes.
Following Friday’s bout, Eustaquio called for a fight with the champ. “Adriano I know you’re there. I got a belt! Give me one more try and I hope to give you a better challenge this time.”
Incredibly. the first six fights of the Global Superheroes card were over within a round. Only two bouts went the distance Friday. For full results, check below.
