ONE Championship: Hero’s Dream took place Friday, November 3 in Yangon, Myanmar. The Asian MMA powerhouse brought with it an openweight super-fight as the main event, showcasing middleweight champion Aung La N Sang against heavyweight Alain Ngalani. After a tense few minutes, “The Burmese Python” did not disappoint, submitting Ngalani in the first round.
Elsewhere on the card, China’s Ma Hao Bin continued his impressive win streak, submitting Eugene Toquero of the Philippines via arm-bar in the first round of their three-round contest. That brought his overall record to 8-1, with six straight wins, two of which have now come under the ONE Championship banner. In the co-main event, meanwhile, a close split decision saw Phoe Thaw get the nod over Saw Ba Oo. Thaw improved to 5-0 with the victory; all five of his professional MMA wins have come under the ONE Championship banner.
Ultimately, six of the seven main card bouts at ONE Championship: Hero’s Dream ended in a finish, and the event turned out to be an exciting night for fans in attendance and watching throughout the globe.
