Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced the next appearance for star women’s flyweight champion Andrea Lee. KGB Lee returns to action for the promotion in Dallas, TX next month to headline LFA 16, defending her title against BJJ black belt Davina Maciel. The card will air on AXS TV, and The Fight Network in Canada.

Lee (7-2) captured the inaugural LFA women’s flyweight championship earlier this year when she submitted Heather Bassett by arm-bar at LFA 4 in February. Since then, she took a split decision win against Liz Tracy at Invicta FC 23 (be sure to check out our chat with KGB Lee just prior to that event). Keeping busy, Lee will be back in the cage less than two months out from her last bout.

Davina Maciel (6-1) will be making her LFA debut at the event, but enters on a three-fight win streak with a pair of submission wins in that stretch. Her lone defeat as a pro came to highly touted strawweight Claudia Gadelha, who recently challenged for gold in the UFC. In short, she’s a serious threat to the champ, and this looks to be a compelling fight.

LFA CEO Ed Soares stated via press release that “Andrea Lee is the first female champion in LFA history and will face a huge test against top Brazilian prospect Davina Maciel at LFA 16. Lee vs. Maciel is a fantastic title fight between two of the top flyweights in the world.”

Co-headlining the evening will be former Legacy FC bantamweight champ Steven Peterson, moving up in weight to meet Angel Huerta. The pair have combined to compete 17 times under the Legacy FC banner.

LFA 16 takes place July 14 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. Bouts announced for the card thus far are as follows:

Andrea Lee vs. Davina Maciel (for the women’s flyweight championship)
Steven Peterson vs. Angel Huerta
Johnny Bedford vs. Jimmy Flick
Damon Jackson vs. Eliazar Rodriguez
Miles Johns vs. Levi Mowles
