The UFC’s return to Canadian soil later this year has had a hot featherweight prospect from Halifax added to the card. Gavin Tucker, who dazzled in his promotional debut against Sam Sicilia at UFC Fight Night 105, will meet Rick Glenn at UFC 216 in Edmonton. The promotion officially posted the bout to their official website earlier today.

Tucker (10-0), known as “The Newfoundland Terror” originates from St. Anthony, Nfld, but fights out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. In his promotional debut, he displayed flashy striking and surprised many with his domination of the tough Sicilia.

That appears to have earned a step for Tucker, as he’ll face former World Series of Fighting champion Glenn (19-4-1) in September. Glenn is 1-1 thus far into his UFC career, and is coming off a split decision win over Phillipe Nover at UFC 208 this past February.

UFC 216 takes place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta on September 9. Tucker vs. Glenn is the first fight officially added to the card.
