“The Killer vs. The Hannibal” is how Saturday’s Oktagon 85 main event has been billed in the weeks leading up to the event in Hamburg, Germany.
Khurshed “Killer” Kakhorov and Igor “The Hannibal” Severino will face off for the promotion’s vacant bantamweight title, with Severino’s nickname a nod to his infamous biting incident in the UFC. While it really should be “Hannibal the Cannibal,” there might be a little copyright infringement on that one. Or perhaps just “The Cannibal,” but Alexandre Pantoja has laid claim to that.
Regardless, one of these men is set to leave Hamburg as a newly crowned champion.
UFC veteran Stephanie Egger missed weight for Saturday’s card, but her bout with Veronika Smolková moves forward at a catchweight.
