The UFC is back in Abu Dhabi this weekend for UFC 321, which will see the long-awaited showdown between England’s Tom Aspinall and France’s Ciryl Gane.
A match-up talked about for years has taken on new meaning, with Aspinall now the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion in the wake of Jon Jones retirement earlier this year. The specter of Jones may be overshadowing the fight, since “Bones” almost immediately changed his mind and wants on the UFC White House card next year — but it remains the best fight the promotion can put together at heavyweight at the moment.
In the co-main event, Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern meet for the second time, this time for the women’s strawweight championship vacated by Weili Zhang.
