“The King of Germany” returned to action at Saturday’s Oktagon 78 in Cologne.
German MMA royalty Christian Eckerlin was looking to rebound in the night’s welterweight main event, as he took on a veteran of over 80 fights in Ivica Trušček. In the co-main event, meanwhile, it wasn’t experience but youth, as the 3-0 Alina Dalaslan (3-0) went up against the well-traveled Katharina Lehner.
Notorious former UFC fighter Igor Severino, was also in action, taking on a former PFL Europe tournament champion, Khurshed Kakhorov. The bantamweight title was on the line in the bout, but only Severino was eligible to win it after Kakhorov missed weight.
