The Pink Panther may look unassuming, but he’s nasty in the cage. While he’s had moments of being tested, for the most part he dominates from bell to bell—or until he finishes the fight. On the feet, Campbell has a kick-heavy style, attacking at all levels. He’s finished fights with leg kicks, head kicks, and liver shots. What he lacks in raw power, he makes up for with pace, variety, and precision. He constantly presses forward, mixing up targets, and shows flashes of slick counter striking. His stance sometimes leaves him open, but he’s adept at slipping punches and moving out of danger.
Campbell’s grappling is arguably his strongest asset. He times his entries well, securing takedowns both in open space and along the cage. He’s skilled at getting his opponent to the mat, circling to the back, and resetting positions. He doesn’t waste time riding top control—he’s always working, delivering damage, and maintaining a high pace. His ground-and-pound is technically sharp, using knee pins and wrist control to maximize strikes, including brutal elbows. Occasionally, his aggression costs him position, but he scrambles effectively and can re-establish control without tiring.
Overall, Campbell is a relentless, well-rounded fighter with high-level wrestling, effective striking, and constant pressure. With his skill set and work rate, he has a bright future in the UFC.
Demba Seck
-Explosive
-Athletic
-Chopping leg kicks
-Scrambles well
-Poor grappling control
-Zero technique
-Too willing to brawl
-Lacks head movement
-Lacks setups
-Plodding footwork
-Loads up
Seck is an explosive fighter and very dangerous if you stand in front of him. The problem is he relies more on athleticism than technique—a flaw that might work at heavyweight but is much more noticeable in the lighter divisions. He’s aggressive, constantly engaging, but does so in a messy way: his striking technique is off, he loads up on every shot, rarely sets anything up, and his footwork is poor. On top of that, he’s easy to hit, and even his power is a bit underwhelming.
Seck can mix things up and occasionally blast through for a takedown, but he has no jiu-jitsu to back it up. Outside of the regional MMA scene in Africa, he’s too limited to have sustained success.
Prediction: I expect a clean, impressive win for Campbell here. On the feet, he’s got more weapons and better optics, but his path is to take Seck down. Standing in front of Seck, he probably sweeps, but it is dangerous, so he should take the path of least resistance. He should be able to take Seck down early and quickly take a dominant position and finish with ground n’ pound. Seck could buck off Campbell, but Campbell’s jiu-jitsu is too good, and that’s where he could find the sub. I’m taking Campbell by first round TKO.
