Friday found Legacy Fighting Alliance returning to Brazil for LFA 216, featuring a women’s strawweight title fight in its main event.
With the promotion’s 115lb title on the line, strawweight champ Lany Silva looked to defend her title for the very first time against undefeated challenger Aieza Bertolso. Bertolso hails from Cuiaba, where LFA 216 unfolded, and would have the local crowd behind her.
Lightweight action in the night’s co-main event found Brazilian standouts Felipe Oliveira and Marcelo Marques facing off. A flyweight bout, Thiago Taveira vs. Jhonata Silva, was cancelled at weigh-ins meanwhile.
