Giga Chikadze will be looking to land a “Giga Kick” on David Onama this April.
Georgia’s Chikadze (15-4) will return to action for the first time since July when he faces off against Onama (13-2) at a UFC Fight Night event on April 26, 2025.
Iridium Sports Agency, who represent Onama, announced the news on Saturday. The card is rumored to take place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
36-year old Chikadze sits at 2-2 in his last four, and will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Arnold Allen in his last outing. Both of Chikadze’s losses in that span have come via decision; more concerning is that he has fought just one per year the past three years.
A former kickboxer, Chikadze holds notable MMA victories over Edson Barboza and UFC Hall of Fame member “Killer” Cub Swanson.
Opposite Giga Chikadze this April will be David Onama, who has seen his arm raised in his last three outings. Most recently, Onama, 30, earned a unanimous decision victory against Roberto Romero at UFC 309.
The UFC’s April 26, 2025 Fight Night event does not have a main event reported, and only one other fight is on the docket as it stands. That bout sees Michel Pereira take on Abus Magomedov.
