Las Vegas – UFC lightweight Thiago Moises is somewhat in a hurry to get one more fight in by May after defeating Trey Ogden at UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday night.
A bun in the oven may be the reason why.
“I just want to fight in May because my wife is pregnant,” Moises told reporters including Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.
“She’s (due in) June. Fighting May would be perfect.”
Moises (19-8) now has something else to fight for, and it maybe even gets him a competitive edge.
Sort of.
“Yeah I expect to get Charles Oliveira’s skin,” he said with a laugh.
“Life is way more than just fighting. I could say most of my life because I have been training since I was 8-years-old. Always (thought) it was like fighting, fighting, fighting. Sometimes we get burnt out. It’s good to have a balance. Fight is just a part of your life.”
With the win over Ogden secured, and back on the right column.
“I wanted to get back in the win column,” he said.
“It’s all important to win. I want two more fights. May and end of the year.”
