Randy Brown On Losing Prates Matchup, Fires At Magny, Chiesa

Las Vegas – UFC welterweight Randy Brown had an opponent switch taking him out of a ranked fight, but still scrapping at UFC 310 against Bryan Battle.

Brown (19-5) was supposed to fight Carlos Prates in November at UFC 309, but his opponent was pulled to face Neil Magny in the main event a week before that card.

“The UFC sent me, they never sent me an actual contract, they sent me an offer,” Brown told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday.

“They told me ‘hey would you like to fight Carlos Prates on December 7th’, and I was like yeah definitely. Then they came back and were like ‘actually you want to fight in New York’ and it just wasn’t enough time for me to fight in New York.”

That wasn’t the end of that as Prates told the media that he felt Brown was “easy money”.

“He knows that’s not true. He’s just talking sh*t,” he said before asking the reporter who he thought was better between himself and Magny. When the reporter asked Brown who he thought was better he didn’t mince words.

“Me and Magny ain’t the same bro. Stop that, stop it, stop the bullsh*t. Me and Magny are not the same.”

Magny wasn’t the only man Brown took shots at. Michael Chiesa may have gotten the harsher treatment from Brown.

“Why you asking me about Chiesa, bro,” Brown asked.

“F*ck Chiesa.”
