The MMA world has arrived at the last UFC PPV of the year at UFC 310 going down this Saturday night from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
In the main event we’ll see UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja defend his title for the third time when he faces UFC newcomer and former RIZIN champion Kai Asakura.
Pantoja (28-5) took the title off Brandon Moreno in 2023 at UFC 290 where he defeated him by split-decision. Just a few months later he defended the title for the first time against Brandon Royval, and then Steve Erceg in May of this year.
Asakura (21-4) makes his UFC debut in a title fight at UFC 310. The former RIZIN bantamweight champion won the belt against Juan Archuleta last December before signing with the UFC.
In the co-main event two of the top welterweights in the world will battle for a title shot against new UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad.
Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0) was set to fight for the title before the UFC announced the fight was off due to a bone infection in his foot. Rakhmonov hoped to stay on the card and got his wish when Ian Machado Garry stepped up to face him.
Garry (15-0) will put his own undefeated record on the line against the undefeated Rakhmonov at UFC 310. He had originally hoped to get paired up with former title challenger Colby Covington, but a shot at Rakhmonov proved to be too much.
UFC 310 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec 7.
