January’s UFC 311 has added the red-hot Payton Talbott, who will take on Brazilian threat Raoni Barcelos at the first UFC Pay-Per-View event of 2025.
UFC officials recently announced that Talbott (9-0) would face the much more experienced Barcelos (18-5) at the event in Los Angeles, CA on January 18, 2025. The fight will be contested in the bantamweight division.
Talbot, 26, earned his way into the UFC on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023. He’s finished eight of nine opponents over the course of his professional mixed martial arts career; two of his three fights under the UFC banner have resulted in a Performance of the Night bonus.
Most recently, Talbott finished Yanis Ghemmouri with strikes in all of 19 seconds.
Barcelos holds three post-fight bonuses across his UFC tenure, which has seen him post a 7-4 record. The Brazilian is a former RFA featherweight champion; he signed with the UFC in 2017 and debuted the following year.
