UFC Vegas 100 took a last second hit with former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt withdrawing from his fight with Miles Johns due to an undisclosed injury.
First reported by Cole Shelton.
Garbrandt (14-6) is coming off a tough loss to Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 300. The loss snapped a two-fight win streak with wins over Brian Kelleher and Trevin Jones. The former champion holds victories over Raphael Assuncao, Dominick Cruz and Thomas Almeida.
Johns (15-2) was coming into the event on a 3-fight win streak with one no-contest in Sept 2023. He holds victories over Douglas Silva de Andrade, Cody Gibson, and Vince Morales.
This was actually the third time the two had been booked to fight. No word on if they’ll be booked a third time. The UFC is searching for a replacement for Johns.
