UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis didn’t wait for someone to ask him about Khamzat Chimaev.

He took to social media to let Chimaev know.

“Feel sorry for Rob he looked super ready but this is the fight game

well done on a good performance Khamzat

That being said I can’t wait to take your 0.”

Chimaev (14-0) kept his undefeated record at UFC 308 making quick work of Robert Whittaker in the co-main event. Chimaev won the fight via submission leaving Whittaker with a damaged jaw, broken teeth, and a loss.

“I’m going for the belt,” Chimaev told Daniel Cormier in his post-fight interview. He spoke to Whittaker as well as the rest of the middleweight division, “You’re a legend. Respect he took the fight. He fight with me man. No one wants to fight with me. All the champions running from me.”

Du Plessis (22-2) is undefeated in his UFC run thus far coming off his first title defense against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 in August. His next opponent has been rumored to be Sean Strickland, and UFC CEO Dana White had even said as much.

He wasn’t so sure on Saturday night after the event in his own post-fight press conference.

“That’s a good question. Call me on Tuesday,” White said when asked who was next for Du Plessis.

Needless to say Dricus Du Plessis doesn’t seem to be keen on running from Chimaev.
