Week 9

- Welterweight, Luis Francischinelli (4-0) Vs. Diego Bianchini (9-1)
- Bantamweight, Santiago Luna (5-0) Vs. Andrew Valdina (6-0)
- Bantamweight, Colby Thicknesse (5-0) Vs. Matheus Correia (9-0)
- Lightweight, Salah Eddine Hamli (7-0) Vs. Callum Connor (5-0)
Lots of undefeated talent here. Then there’s John Sweeney. Sweeney has a loss to Cody Durden on his record; Durden has done well enough for himself in the UFC. Sweeney was also an LFA champ, but was stripped of the bantamweight belt after badly missing weight over the summer. How bad? 6.4lbs. He went on to win the fight that night, but was ineligible for the title. He’ll need another fight to prove he can get his weight under control, but he had been on the shelf over a year.
Australia’s Colby Thicknesse picked up a couple of amateur titles before turning pro. The bantamweight has two fights pending on the books, so it’s clear he wants to finish 2024 strong.
Callum Connor trains with Manchester Top Team, so in addition to being undefeated, the lightweight has the right people around him.
