Heavyweights headlined the show at Saturday’s KSW 99, which saw Michal Martínek and Štefan Vojčák throw down in the night’s main event.
The final stop before KSW 100, the October 19 card found Dana White’s Contender Series alum Martinek, boasting an 11-5 record, looking to turn back the 8-1 Vojcak. Martinek, who had lost to Rodrigo Nascimento on DWCS in 2019, had also faced the likes of Viktor Pesta, Daniel James, and Darko Stosic over the years.
Vojcak had made his pro debut under the Oktagon MMA banner, but was now 2-1 in KSW and coming into Saturday on a two-fight win streak. With dominant champ Phil De Fries always in need of fresh blood, a big performance in the KSW 99 headliner could push the winner that much closer to a shot at gold.
