Two Ultimate Fighter 32 alums were set to face off at UFC Vegas 96 on Saturday, as Zygimantas Ramaska was paired up with Nathan Fletcher in featherweight action.

Unfortunately, that fight will not happen. At the top of the Fight Night card’s broadcast, promotion officials revealed that the bout had been scratched, due to a medical issue on the side of Fletcher.

Both fighters dealt with injury during The Ultimate Fighter 32 season, which filmed earlier this year and completed its broadcast run earlier this week.

The featherweight and middleweight TUF 32 finals are set to move forward as expected on Saturday night’s main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Zygimantas Ramaska would have been in the semifinal round on the show, had a facial injury not pulled him from the competition. That made Saturday a big opportunity to get his foot in the door with the promotion care of a strong showing. Ramaska’s struggle to make the fight, being cleared by one doctor only to be denied by the Nevada Athletic Commission, became a key storyline in the later episodes of the TUF 32 season.

Fletcher dealt with injury issues of his own, suffering a broken leg in his quarterfinal fight.

Saturday’s UFC Vegas 96 is headlined by Jared Cannonier and Caio Borralho in a middleweight match-up, with Angela Hill vs. Tabatha Ricci serving as the co-main event.
