With the UFC ramping up their return to the road, a number of dates appear to be incoming. On Thursday, the one of two recently reported road shows was announced by the promotion: UFC Macau will take place on November 23, 2024.
News of the Macau date was first reported by Alex Behunin.
The Macau, China date joins Edmonton, Alberta (November 2), as well as the expected New York City date later that month. A trip to Tampa Bay, Florida on December 14 has also been reported, but is not yet confirmed by the promotion.
UFC Macau will take place at the Galaxy Arena, per the UFC’s announcement. The Fight Night card does not yet have a main event set.
The UFC last visited Macau, a former Portuguese colony in the People’s Republic of China, in 2014, actually making two stops in the area that year: The Ultimate Fighter China Finale took place in March 2014, followed by UFC Fight Night 48, headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Cung Le, that August.
The UFC’s first and only other visit to Macau came in 2012, with UFC on Fuel TV 6 headlined again by Le, who knocked out Rich Franklin in highlight reel fashion.
No fights have been announced for the UFC’s fourth visit to Macau, but the promotion has invested heavily in Asian talent in recent years, opening a Performance Institute in Shanghai, China, and running multiple Road to UFC tournaments.
