Ranked UFC women’s strawweight fighters Angela Hill and Tabatha Ricci will fight on the main card of UFC Vegas 96. The fight is scheduled for three rounds and will take place at the UFC Apex on August 24, 2024.
Angela Hill announced the bout on her 2Straws podcast, that she shares with Jessica Penne, on Monday.
Angela Hill (17-13) is on a two-fight win streak since losing a five round unanimous decision to Mackenzie Dern last May. It was Hill’s second main event for the UFC, and a fight of the night winning performance. After that, Hill won a unanimous decision against Denise Gomes and most recently submitted Luana Pinheiro, in May. The fight in August will be Hill’s 26th with the UFC. The #9 ranked UFC strawweight is the holder of the most bouts and wins in UFC women’s strawweight division history.
Tabatha Ricci (10-2) will be making just her second main card appearance on August 24th. The #11 ranked UFC strawweight is 5-2 in the UFC since joining the promotion in 2021. Ricci snagged a split decision victory over Tecia Pennington in her last fight, back in May. The win got Ricci back on track after her split decision loss to Lupita Godinez last November. Tabatha also has wins over Polyana Viana, Jessica Penne and Gillian Robertson.
