    Kicking off this edition of TTP is our interview with Contender Series middleweight, Alain Van De Merckt. The Belgian fighter discusses his quick run through the pro MMA ranks and how it all shook out that he’d be on the show. Plus, he discusses why the UFC has been where he wanted to be. We also get into his thoughts on the matchmaking during Dana White’s Contender Series, which will take place a couple months after UFC Denver. He belives that all fights have an A- and B-side. He feels that, in this fight, he is clearly the A-side and looks to cement his place in the UFC with a big win.

However, unfortunate circumstances led to that fight being cancelled. A dominant performance in the fill-in fight got him where he needs to be anyways. He previews his upcoming fight and calls his shot for us.
