The return of all-female fighting outfit Invicta FC arrives on Friday, June 28, 2024 and one day prior, the full roster of athletes booked for Invicta FC 55 hit the scales for the official weigh-in in Kansas City, MO.
One fighter missed weight for the card, with bantamweight Taylor Guardado, a veteran of the PFL and former opponent of two-time PFL champ and two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison, coming in at 138lbs. As a result, Guardado was fined 25% of her purse, but her fight against Japan’s Yoko Higashi moves forward as scheduled.
In the main event of Invicta FC 55, the first card of 2024 for the promotion, bantamweight champion Talita Bernardo puts her belt on the line against former Bellator MMA featherweight title hopeful Olga Rubin. Both fighters seemingly made weight with ease, coming in a shade under championship weight on Thursday.
Invicta FC 55 airs live on CBS Sports Network in the U.S., and on Fight Network in Canada. Full results from Thursday’s weigh-in can be found below.
