Bangkok – Former ONE lightweight MMA champion Ok Rae Yoon makes his return to the cage to face Alibeg Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 5.
Ok (17-4) held the ONE Championship lightweight title when he defeated Christian Lee in 2021 before ultimately dropping the belt to him in their rematch nearly a year later. He holds victories against former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and former ONE featherweight champion Marat Gafurov.
His victory over Gafurov put him on the map, but his brawl with Alvarez set him up for a title fight against Lee. With his record against Lee at 1-1 in title fights he could make a case to complete the trilogy with a big showing against Rasulov in Bangkok.
Rasulov (13-0) will make his ONE debut at ONE Fight Night 23 drawing the former ONE lightweight champion as his opponent. Originally from Dagestan he represents Turkey now and is on a 13-fight undefeated win streak with 10 finishes to his record.
Having taken on some of Europe’s best he signed with ONE Championship earlier this year to the delight of MMA fans.
The fight will take place in the lightweight division in a 3-round MMA bout.
ONE Fight Night 23 takes place on July 5 in Bangkok.
