Las Vegas – The TKO Group Holdings partnership has opened to the doors of the UFC APEX to the WWE as they’ve announced NXT Battlegrounds will be held there on June 9.
WWE announced the event via press release.
This marks the first WWE event held at the UFC APEX which has been largely used to hold UFC Fight Night cards, Power Slap events, and Dana White’s Contender Series.
“We are always exploring new frontiers to showcase NXT and we are excited to bring Battleground to this world-class event and production facility in partnership with UFC,” said WWE Senior VP of Talent Development Shawn Michaels.
WWE and UFC merged in late 2023 becoming TKO Group Holdings in the process. The merger opened the doors for some crossover between the two companies, but they’ve been limited until now.
NXT Battleground priority passes will be made available soon which includes ringside seats, premium seating, WWE Superstar appearances and more. The number of passes is expected to be limited due to the size of the UFC APEX.
NXT Battleground was supposed to take place on May 26 in Georgia, but the event has been moved to June 9 in Las Vegas at the UFC Fight Night event location.
