UFC APEX – UFC welterweight Ange Loosa is hyped for his fight against Bryan Battle at UFC Vegas 88 on Saturday night.
“Bryan Battle great fighter. He’s good everywhere I think,” Loosa told reporters on Wednesday.
“I’ve been waiting for this fight for a long time already. I never called him out, but I was like ‘I want to fight this guy one day’. Now the opportunity’s come for me so I’m excited for this fight.”
Loosa (10-3) wanted a fight with a name that had something big attached to it. Battle won The Ultimate Fighter season 29 which adds to the fight for Loosa.
“He won Ultimate Fighters so that’s exciting. That’s a challenge for me. I want to fight the best,” said Loosa.
A win over a TUF champion would be a great way to kick off 2024 for Loosa. The welterweight has goals set for the year. One of them would put him on the list for some big fights.
“I want to get to the top 15 before the end of the year. I want to be active after this fight as well,” he said.
“I fight everyone. I trust the UFC for that.”
