Dana White had promised at least one more fight for UFC 300, and on Saturday, the promotion delivered the money fight. The “Money Moicano” fight, at least.
During the UFC 299 broadcast in Miami, promotion officials announced the addition of Renato Moicano vs. Jalin Turner in a lightweight match-up to the milestone card.
Moicano (18-5-1) most recently picked up a decision win over Drew Dober, and has won four of his last five fights. The Brazilian has also kicked off a career in commentary, first for CFFC and also for the UFC’s foreign market broadcasts.
Over the past few years, thanks to his personality, violent fights, and growing social media presence, Moicano has been living up to that “Money” moniker.
Jalin Turner (14-7) will enter the fight off a win over Bobby Green that snapped a two-fight skid. From 2020 to 2022, however, “The Tarantula” had been on a five-fight win streak inside the octagon.
UFC 300 is headlined by Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill for the light heavyweight title. It all goes down April 13, 2024 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
The following bouts are attached to the historic UFC 300 card:
