Popular UFC lightweights Renato Moicano and Drew Dober are set to collide next year.
Moicano (17-5-1) and Dober (27-12, 1NC) will face off at a UFC Fight Night event scheduled for February 3, 2024 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV. News of the booking was revealed by Moicano via his official Youtube channel.
“We have a fight, we have a date, we have an opponent!” Moicano exclaimed to start his announcement. “I didn’t fight this year not because I didn’t want to, but because I was injured,” the Brazilian added, promising a “show” and a “great fight.”
Brazil’s Moicano is 3-1 across his last four fights, and coming off a win over Brad “Quake” Ridell. The submission win came in November 2022, with Moicano, as noted, out since then with an injury.
Drew Dober is 4-1 in his last five, and coming off a win of his own, against Ricky Glenn this past October. His lone loss in that five-fight span came against Matt Frevola at UFC 288 back in May.
