Undefeated Canadian standout Jamey-Lyn Horth will return to action this December.
Horth (6-0) will face Veronica Hardy (7-4-1) at the UFC’s December 2, 2023 Fight Night event. The bout is expected to be contested at flyweight, with Horth moving back down to 125lbs after taking her UFC debut up a weight class.
News of the booking was first announced by Iridium Sports Agency, who represent Horth.
The Canadian captured a decision win over Hailey Cowan in her promotional debut earlier this year. Prior to that, Horth had put her time in on the regional scene, struggling to find opponents willing to fight her. She captured gold in both BFL and LFA prior to signing with the UFC.
Hardy (nee Macedo) recently returned from a multi-year layoff to defeat Ultimate Fighter winner Juliana Miller this past March in London. The fight saw Macedo return to flyweight after taking her previous bout at 135lbs.
After starting her UFC run on an 0-3 skid, Hardy is now 2-4 overall in the promotion. She’s married to former UFC welterweight title challenger Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, who currently serves as a broadcaster for rival Professional Fighters League.
No other bouts beyond Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Veronica Hardy have been reported for the UFC’s December 2, 2023 Fight Night card.
