A women’s bantamweight fight has been added to July’s UFC London.
Ketlen Vieira (13-3) is set to face Pannie Kianzad (16-6) at the Fight Night event on July 22, 2023. Both fighters confirmed the booking on social media following an initial report by Maximum Sports.
Brazil’s Vieira will enter the bout off a loss to Raquel Pennington suffered at the first UFC card of 2023 in January. The split decision setback snapped a two-fight win streak that had seen Vieira pick up back-to-back wins over ex-champs Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
Kianzad, who entered the promotion after appearing on The Ultimate Fighter 28, has not competed since an April 2022 win over Lina Lansberg. Dating back to 2019, she’s 5-1 across her last six fights.
Vieira is currently ranked #4 in the women’s bantamweight division. Kianzad is sitting in the #7 spot in the promotion’s official rankings.
The second UFC London card of 2023 does not yet have a main event announced, but will once again take place at the O2 Arena in London, England. The following match-ups have been reported for the card thus far:
- Molly McCann vs. Julija Stoliarenko
- Yanal Ashmouz vs. Chris Duncan
- Farès Ziam vs. Jai Herbert
- Jamal Pogues vs. Michael Parkin
- Marc Diakiese vs. Joel Álvarez
- Ketlen Vieira vs. Pannie Kianzad
