Hollywood, CA – In the early hours on Sunday UFC welterweight Tony Ferguson was arrested after crashing his pick-up truck outside of a Hollywood nightclub.
TMZ was the first to report the arrest.
Ferguson, 39, allegedly crashed his truck into two parked vehicles before flipping it on it’s side outside a club. No injuries were reported.
According to TMZ, Ferguson refused a sobriety test and police said he was very uncooperative. Ferguson was arrested at the scene.
This is not the first sign of trouble from the UFC legend. Ferguson’s wife filed a restraining order against him in 2019. In the initial report police were told that Ferguson had not slept in days, was tearing apart the house, and believed that someone had put a computer chip on his leg.
After seeing doctors at the request of local authorities Ferguson was deemed not a danger to himself or others.
Ferguson (25-8) last fought at UFC 279 where he lost to Nate Diaz following a last-second re-shuffle of the top three bouts on the card following Khamzat Chimaev’s weight miss.
The former lightweight interim champion is currently on a five-fight losing streak. Before suffering a leg injury that set the former TUF contestant back years he was owner of an 11-fight win streak and was the lightweight interim champion.
No statement has been released by the UFC as of this posting.
