GLORY Kickboxing returned to action on Saturday, April 29, with a heavyweight tournament and welterweight title fight in tow at GLORY 85.
Going down at the Rotterdam Ahoy arena in the Netherlands, GLORY 85 saw welterweight champion Endy Semeleer put his title on the line against Murthel Groenhart, himself a former welterweight champion in the promotion, and longtime GLORY veteran. Groenhart had debuted for the company back in 2012 at GLORY 2, and was a two-time winner of the promotion’s welterweight contender tournament (2015 and 2016) who had spent the last several years in the title picture — though he had not competed since 2021.
In addition to his GLORY championship, Semeleer was the inaugural Enfusion welterweight champ, and was coming making the first defense of his GLORY title after capturing it against Alim Nabiev.
GLORY 85 takes place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Rotterdam Ahoy arena airing live GLORYFights.com. Full results from the event can be found below, with the preliminary card kicking off at 1PM ET.
