Tuesday’s Invicta FC 51 weigh-ins did not exactly go off without a hitch.

The event, which takes place at ReelWorks Denver in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday, January 18, sees Taneisha Tennant putting her 135lb title on the line against former UFC fighter Talita Bernardo. The co-feature also has gold up for grabs, as Kristina Williams will face off with Ketlen Souza for the promotion’s vacant flyweight strap.

Both of those fights are official, with all four competitors making weight. Two other fighters on the card came in heavy, however, and as a result, one bout has been cancelled.

At bantamweight, Seren DeJesus weighed in 1.3lbs over the non-title bantamweight limit for her fight with Olga Rubin. That fight will still happen, with DeJesus coughing up 25% of her purse. However, with Tanya Nijjar coming in at 118.1lbs for a strawweight fight with Sayury Canon, who came in at 113.1lbs, that fight was unable to move forward, as Nijjar was removed from the card.
